After selling out its run last year, Woody Fu: One Man John Wick won Best of Fest at Toronto Sketchfest! Version 2.0 has new games and pieces, as it preps for an Edinburgh Fringe run in August.
This scripted solo show takes us on the set of John Wick Chapter 5: E Pluribus Unum. Keanu needs the audience’s help to recreate all the hallmarks of this billion dollar franchise: a serial killing pencil, gun-fu, vaguely Eastern European thugs, and a plot device called “undeveloped dead wife character.”
A loving satire of the greatest action franchise of the last decade (take that, Expendables), Woody Fu: One Man John Wick will theatrically invoke a massive Hollywood blockbuster, including car chases, elaborate fight choreo, death-defying stunts, motorcycles and cutting-edge “bullet time technology” (™ & © 1999).
Keanu contains multitudes: Reluctant A-list celebrity. Polite sexagenarian Canadian action star. 40 year acting vet who went from goofy surfer to Clint Eastwood. He loves his fans, does his own stunts, and buys people motorcycles. Let us celebrate The Nicest Guy in Hollywood with a show as weird, earnest, and hardworking as the man himself.
Woody Fu is an actor/writer based in Los Angeles. He has appeared in film and television on HULU, Max, Comedy Central, ABC, CBS, FX, AppleTV+, Peacock, Netflix and Amazon. He has written for the Onion and was featured as a New Face of Comedy at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival.
