What I liked

The centering in her Mom’s love through the payphone and acceptance as the way the story was told as she herself( Rejyna) carried on that love to her own daughter and really embodied that strong maternal role. I was moved!
I loved how the songs added so much to the story.

What I didn't like

It was great!

My overall impression

Rejyna’s plight was so important to be shared, to understand and I was in my seat rooting for her!

You can see her Mother’s heart and also her connection to her mother as a strong nurturing theme. Having this understanding on how spouses can use legal abuse against those vulnerable is common, especially in communities without gender identity awareness and also during these times of backlash against trans rights. I was emotionally involved, saw and understood Rejyna’s strong heart and spirit, plus determination despite the odds was so inspiring and moving! This show really drawed me in!
