Kind of about the show but also not… I loved that my showing had an ASL translator and I loved the inclusivity of that.
What I didn't like
Nothing. Honestly nothing. I just want it to get in front of more eyes.
My overall impression
My heart is still sitting in that theater space with Adedana… or perhaps it’s my Grief Baby reflecting on this tale. Either way this show was such a beautiful balm – expertly written and crafted and serenely staged. I felt cradled from start to finish going through this journey and felt so connected to each beat of this road trip. This is a tale not only for those who have Grief Babies, but those who are perfectionists looking for permission to be free to fail. It’s for those with wanderlust in their hearts who are just looking for a sense of place and purpose. It’s for all of us humans who constantly question every step we take down the path of life. And it was beautifully displayed.
