What I liked

This play has a lot of excellent and witty comedy completely throughout, yet has some very dramatic moments to it as well. I applaud Richard for being so vulnerable, sharing his deepest emotions and struggles with the Sheriff (the audience) that he is writing this letter to. I have to also give major props to director Bruno Oliver for shaping the book into a cohesive, dramatic, hilarious take on Richard’s story for the stage. Thanks to producer Steven Vlasak for recognizing that this book needs to be a play, and needs to be shared with an audience! One of the best Fringe shows I’ve seen this year!

My overall impression

What a wonderful journey into the experience of living next door to a constantly barking dog! I have not always been a dog person until maybe 10 years ago, and this play definitely spoke to me! To see Richard Lucas’ highs and lows of confronting, adapting, and ultimately growing into the person he is today, just from this one very unique, but relatable experience, is truly something to share. I loved it!
