What I liked

For me, I loved that the show was not super political, but about the comedians and their lives, the cracked the jokes about real-life! Society does this horrible thing to women-“disappearing” them because women reach a certain age, yet Third Act highlights women, through their acts, proving that age ain’t nothing but a number, and that life experiences are funny and hysterical!

Third Act is a group of ALL women, all over 40 years of age, which proves that you can do whatever your heart desires, at any point in life! Reflection on life, can bring about humor, even in the mundane!

Stand up, through Third Act, is something unique and magical. Maybe it’s the raw, authentic material or the personal touch of someone speaking directly to you. Stand-up comedy is something not only to laugh at but also to laugh along with. Through the comedians, and their stories, and humor, the audience members feel seen (and sometimes heard!)
Such a great show.

What I didn't like

What didn’t work for me: too short for each performer. I felt like, right as they were hitting their stride, it was over! As an audience, sometimes we need to warm up, so more time (which I recognize is hard)

Every performer is different, has their own unique style, but I’d love more audience interaction—but sometimes that just doesn’t fit the flow!

My overall impression

I had such a fun time watching these incredible comedians! I haven’t had that many giggles and laughs in a long time!
