What I liked
Prior to the start of the play, the solo actress created a powerful silent improv that had the audience’s attention from the moment they sat in their theatre seats.
A blending of stories, fleshed out with tone, inflection and cadence as well as the lighting, for each character. The solo performance of the lead actress was on point, as we jumped from one vignette to the next, with the theme coursing through the bloodline of the performance.
What a stunning production, of a beautifully crafted script.
What I didn't like
I would not change a moment of this performance!
My overall impression
A narrative on women in five parts. What an extraordinary weaving of the theme through the expression of 5 historical figures, who many or many not have existed in the world, but have colored the vision we have of a woman’s role in relation to the powerful men in their lives.
