I loved how unapologetic and playful the play was—it didn’t try too hard or feel obnoxious. It was sharp, funny, and self-aware. Barbara knew exactly what she was doing poking fun at Hollywood, and it totally worked.
And the best part? The play wasn’t trying to be perfect—it was just there. A piece of art, raw and present, inviting the audience to enjoy it without getting caught up in flawless lighting or polished cues. Just great talent having fun on stage.
What I didn't like
The volume of the music could be toned down.
My overall impression
I was looking to watch a play at the Fringe Festival this Friday. I wasn’t sure what to see, and I eventually found myself in front of the Dead Fat Corpse theater. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was hoping it would be worth the ticket—and sure enough, Barbara Lee Bragg did not disappoint.
She was funny, raw, and absolutely commanded the stage. Her comedy reminded me of a British sense of humor with a distinctly American flavor.
Show business needs more talent like Barbara—raw, authentic, and unapologetically true to themselves.
