I love that all four characters, despite two of them being quite outrageous, were people you knew. You could relate to them. And the questions that Fisher poses to us are valid. And the way the characters respond are natural and justified. It’s refreshing to see a show take two couples to a place that some may have entertained. And just when you think it’s done, Fisher keeps going until the audience, and the cast, are spent and everything is left on the stage.

My overall impression
My second ensemble show of the season is easily one of the best I’ve seen at Fringe, period. Michael Shaw Fisher’s writing is at its best, as he brings together four characters and throws them into a setting that just demands laughter. All four actors own the stage as they challenge each other and continue to raise the bar with each moment. And one of the beauties of this play is that you don’t see each moment coming. Just when you think you know what’s about to happen, he creates the perfect corner turn and you are suddenly agape and laughing.
