My overall impression
Expertly written. Tightly directed. Honestly acted. Michael Shaw Fisher deftly takes us to the deep, dark, hilarious, dangerous, and heartbreaking inner workings of a dinner party absolutely no one is totally prepared for. The cast here is on their A game, delivering’s Fisher’s delicious prose with bite and flair. The twists and turns ride the razor sharp line of audacious and darkly hilarious without ever veering into too ridiculous. And just when you think it’s over, Fisher makes sure to deliver a couple more gut punches to let you know this isn’t just a Fringe-y pleasure—this is a show for thinking grown-ups—and you’ll be discussing it long after you’ve left the theatre. Thoroughly enjoyed and strongly recommend.
