The stage is set for mayhem, miracles, and mobsters! The Jewish Priest, The Gangster, & The Magician—a bold new comedy from writer Ron Yavnieli and director Steven Brandon—will make its world premiere this June at the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
What happens when love, religion, crime, and sleight of hand collide? A Jewish Priest falls hopelessly in love with a married woman. The only catch? According to tradition, he can’t marry a divorcée—only a widow. Lucky for him, his well-meaning gangster buddy is happy to “help” with that little detail. But just when things are about to go sideways, they discover the husband isn’t just hard to kill… he’s a magician who specializes in escaping danger.
Mix in Talmudic twists, criminal capers, and a whole lot of illusion, and you’ve got a wildly original farce that’ll leave audiences laughing, gasping, and wondering what just happened.
