About the Project
Dare to dance? Dance Partner tells the story of how the always anxious Bobby befriends the bold professional dancer Tomás. Their journey is told deliberately and runs at the same time as Margot and Pete, Bobby’s sister and brother-in-law. Margot and Pete hope to welcome a baby, but certain complications have left the young couple struggling to find peace to welcome a new life into the world. Bobby and Margot’s mother Uma, the family’s matriarch, must finally learn what it means to see her children as full-grown adults. Their lives twist in and out as their journeys of self-discovery, love, and confusion along the way intertwine in a marvelous dance.
