I particularly thought the sound design was incredible! The best sound design I’ve heard this year at fringe!! Jessica’s ability to immerse you into motherhood is so wonderful as well. There is a specific moment in the show when she talks about flying and it brought me so much nostalgia!
What I didn't like
I really love the audience interaction! I specifically played a mamma leopard at one point which was such a silly fun moment. I am a performer so I had no problem going up. I’m curious if you had an audience full of non performers-how to navigate that! (But I thought it was fun haha)
My overall impression
From the sound and stage design to the incredible acting to the interactive moments, this show immerses you into motherhood! Jessica tells her story of birth and motherhood from the perspective of an astronaut- a lovely analogy of the chaos, beauty and loneliness that is being a mother. It’s a gorgeous balance of hilarious, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments!
