Jessica shared such a personal experience in a way that felt so relatable. Her experience resonates with mothers but also with parents and anyone who has grown up in a family. Her experiences also channel a macrocosm of trials, joys, guilts, and challenges that anyone faces in life in the modern age—trying to find work-life balance to becoming robotic under societal pressures.
What I didn't like
I don’t have anything to add here. I thought this was terrific and am so glad to fight traffic to attend this!
My overall impression
Eat the Mama was so well written and performed. I laughed and cried, sometimes in the span of a minute. I also loved and was surprised by the audience interaction.
