That childhood magic show footage is pure gold; so charming and funny it could stand on its own. Blending those nostalgic clips with live magic, video, sketch characters, and audience play creates a rich, layered experience. Plus I saw a lot of myself in that kid on the screen…

My overall impression
Alan is a natural; maybe not so much a skilled magician, but definitely a brilliant storyteller and master performer. This show is hilarious, touching, and cleverly written. The characters were all super original and unique, and portrayed and written brilliantly. This show had me in stitches from top to bottom.
