What I liked

The seamless weaving of Beth’s bumbling, improv-honed charisma with deeply personal advocacy. The show feels like a conversation with a brilliant, slightly chaotic friend. If you’re a fan of her spoken word or podcasts, you’ll recognize that same poetic grit. Much like a well-organized whataburger application, the show is structured to highlight all the right strengths while being completely transparent about the work put in behind the scenes.

What I didn't like

Given the intense nature of the content, a slightly longer “debrief” or a curated resource guide for the audience at the end of the show could help bridge the gap between the humor and the heavy reality of the topics discussed.

My overall impression

This is an exceptionally brave and witty exploration of mental health. Beth May manages to navigate the “splash zone” of her own life with a level of comedic timing that keeps the audience engaged even when the subject matter turns dark. It is a poignant, fast-paced journey through the highs and lows of the human experience.
