The characters she develops are relatable, and funny. I loved that I laughed so hard, and so consisttenly. Some of it was because of the pure type of humor, some of it was because of relatable things in the characters she developed, and some of it was shock because of what was said. I love that it was an emotional journey of a play that kept me engaged the entire time. This is just a very well done show, well written and very well performed. This is a show I really think most people would enjoy, and it’s a top tier one at that.
What I didn't like
I think the pivot moment she takes you on is well done, and a hard one to do, I think the delivery could go easily into “PSA” territory if not watched so it’s one to just keep finessing but it’s really my only comment.
My overall impression
This is one of the most surprising shows. I had no idea I would have consistent deep belly laughs and then cry tears all in less than an hour. It’s almost like seeing a top comedian who happens to be a great actress. Kirsten is a rare performer who can navigate you through emotions and lead you on journey that is hard for most people to do. It’s such a beautiful show is how I would best describe it. It’s deeply deeply funny, raw and relatable. This is a rare show you want to see again, and bring friends. It’s incredible in all aspects: performance, direction, writing – it’s one I expect to see win awards in the future.
