The set-up was morbidly intriguing, like being unable to turn away from a car crash. It was all the more powerful knowing that the events portrayed could really be happening anywhere at any time.
The set design was cleverly done — and not just for a Fringe show. The use of space, lighting, and digital media added to the charged moments. Even the blocking and choreography of the cast was designed to elicit emotional responses and convey the nuances of the psychology at play.

My overall impression
PREY NAIVETÉ is a thought-provoking play about a grim subject matter. The set-up had me leaning in, eager to find out what would happen next. The actors’ performances were subtle and honest, with on-a-dime emotional turns they pulled off expertly!
