What I didn't like
Having an account and a transponder gives you the lowest rate. If your transponder fails or you don’t have an account, they take a photo of your plate and mail an invoice at a significantly higher rate.
My overall impression
There has been a massive nationwide surge in phishing scams involving fake text messages claiming you owe money to “ExpressToll” or “E-ZPass.” Do not click links in text messages. Always log directly into your official online account or call the number above to check your balance.
