The pacing was fantastic and the characters’ voices were so distinct and believable. Also, HILARIOUS. The grandpa’s character is a damn gem! The neighbor’s character was fantastically written!! Someone you theoretically want to hate but he makes that so difficult!
What I didn't like
Fantastic piece to begin with. One offer: I’d love for the dad to really struggle with the decision at the end and end up making it himself. It forces him to be the bad guy that he so desperately doesn’t want to be. That would really be a twist of the knife at the end!
My overall impression
A deeply engaging and funny piece that doesn’t make any one character the “bad guy”. It’s nuanced in its commentary and holds up a mirror to the hypocrisies we all have within ourselves.
