What I liked

The monologues! Every character had their moment. The character Mike had two monologues that were a highlight of the evening.-I also loved the character of Erin, she had two moments that were exceptional, she gave a performance with a lot of weight; rooted in reality and empathy.-This cast; this cast; this cast…a group of wonderful artists who really listened to each other and were genuinely trying to reach an audience.-I also loved how they weren’t trying to be funny, the humor just came from the truth of the situation and was almost coincidental.-I also loved Kalegos! A very animalistic character, lots of energy and inner turmoil.-I thought the staging was simple and effective, they used the dialogue to indicate the setting, which felt very Shakespearean to me. There were even moment where the actors did the sound effects for operating imaginary equipment which was hysterical!-The writing was pure poetry!

What I didn't like

It needs more adventure! More danger, I see it somewhere in the realm of The cursed child, I hope the play gets picked up by people with money, cause the concepts introduced in the show got my imagination running wild.-I also think the play should be done in two acts, there is more to be said and much more to do.

My overall impression

This was a well written; poignant satire! The writing was exceptional and the performances elevated it. Everyone played off of each other so well, a true ensemble piece, wasn’t expecting to tear up towards the end. The piece holds space for humanity; existence; all of its ills; beauty and madness. Go see this show!
