This was an original story confronting a social issue that is rarely the subject of horror/sci-fi tales. The plot has several set-ups and payoffs that really require audiences to pay attention. The ensemble cast was fun!
The projection effect between scenes was interesting and added a layer of mystique.
What I didn't like
A little more backstory of each character and their unique, or personal, experience of working in the system. Ironically, the show uses stereotypes of characters, which is somewhat necessary for a shorter show, but is a disservice to the otherwise original story.
My overall impression
“Gu” embodies the spirit of a Twilight Zone episode in a way that I believe Rod Serling would have been proud of.
