I really enjoyed the very subtle commentary of how we live our lives as humans and with the things we interact with. The moments with the animals are brilliant and poignant. The bits feel like such a heartfelt ode to the most classic of humor. It was also really lovely to see some classic slapstick again! The bells and marching onstage has been some of my favorite participation as audience member yet – such a blast!
What I didn't like
I absolutely loved the bit with the phone and the scanner of the clowns at work – personally I’d love to see more of that bit! Overall I wouldn’t change anything about the show, just more of what I loved!
My overall impression
All Pandora’s Boombox needs is a TV screen and animator because it already feels like an old classic cartoon like Tom and Jerry. The humor is subtle and varied with clear intention and meaning behind the show and the clowns at play. I particularly enjoyed watching Karen play – she has such varied expressions and discoveries that makes the joy from her play feel so tangible. A marvelous piece through and through.
