Loved the Q&A session at the end. There were some unexpected guests in the audience that added an insanely fun dynamic during this part!
What I didn't like
The creative forces behind this project aimed and hit the mark with the intent of the piece. An excellent addition to the Fringe. Would personally love to see a dramatized version of the events. What is here was excellent!
My overall impression
This show had me hooked with its premise. The true story of someone who faked being Ukranian on The Tonight Show? That is right up my alley!
However, the moment I truly became enraptured and entranced was when the prankster himself – yes, THE Jan Jacobson – was introduced to the audience as our host for the night. Jon Jeffers is, self-admittedly, not an actor. He is very upfront about that at the top of the show. That is what made this show great.
I had initially thought I was going to a dramatization of these events brought to life as a solo show. What I got was so much more intimate, funny and engaging. Like all my favorite solo shows, it felt like you were catching up with a good friend who has the craziest story.
