What I liked

I loved the cast – they were all talented and connected and sharp and funny and in the moment. The audience had a great time, lots of laughs (even when not instructed by cue cards). It was clever and thoughtful and I just caught myself thinking about it a day later!

What I didn't like

I saw the preview, so I think a few kinks needed working out (tech cues, mostly; board ops have to learn so much so fast for fringe!) but that’s live theater, baby, and I’m here for it,

My overall impression

Great little show that tackles some big issues but doesn’t hit you over the head with them! In fact, it’s the least invasive immersive experience – if the phrase “immersive theater” scares you, don’t let it keep you from Captive Audience, they only tell you to clap or laugh, as though you are a member of a talk show audience. Promise!
