Taylor is captivating to watch dance. His control and athletics are impressive. The use of movement with moments of humor to tell a story kept me locked in the whole show. It isn’t easy to tell the story of a late diagnosis or a meltdown with humor and whimsy but I found myself chuckling and relating so much to this story. I’m glad Taylor brought it to us. And very much like the vampire in the show, I to hate being told things I don’t want to hear and the sun. Bravo.
What I didn't like
I’d love to see this in a larger space to allow for more travelling options (especially for the first number) but then you’d lose the claustrophobic atmosphere of being in a single bedroom. Basically, I loved it; I’d just love to see more.
My overall impression
When the emotions are too much, dance. When your quirkiness is actually a diagnosis…then talk to your familiars and push forward as the almighty vampire you are.
