Elena’s playful audience interaction bits made the whole room feel instantly on her side. Plus, her piano skills are super impressive!

My overall impression
“Funeral Show” is one of the most unique solo shows I’ve seen at the festival thus far. Boldly choosing to be on stage throughout the entire show, Elena plunges the audience into a vulnerable, chaotic, and hilarious funeral service for her still-alive father. Skillfully weaving in elements of clown throughout, Elena keeps the tone light and playful throughout the show (despite the darker subject matter). It’s impossible to not have fun at this show!
