What I liked
I deeply related to the theme of going no-contact with a parent, and I was in awe of how Elena navigated it; so honestly, so artfully. The catharsis in this piece was palpable. It felt mind-blowing to witness; like watching a true artist at the height of their powers. That’s everything I want from a show.
The music was perfect, and the way Elena works with the tech is both clever and totally endearing. I loved every single minute of this wildly original show!

Elena is a GENIUS. She’s crafted a show (well, funeral) that is wildly entertaining, unexpectedly fun, totally unique, immersive, and laugh-until-you-cry hilarious. But it’s also deeply personal, reflective, and unexpectedly relatable. The structure is masterful. Elena is an electric performer who radiates authenticity. She pulls no punches, and it is an absolute joy to experience. Honestly, I’ve never had so much fun at a funeral.
