My overall impression
Incredibly seamless weaving of story and magic. Bob keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering how the next part of his story is going to be told. He convincingly draws you into his coming-of-age and his devotion to his beloved, with a love that could not be derailed, no matter how powerful the outside force.
