My overall impression
It is invigorating, and at the same time heartbreaking, to see Nina perform Brick by Brick. The quality of her performance is unquestionably Broadway-worthy, but what makes it truly unforgettable is knowing that Nina drew inspiration from her own life. That knowledge makes every moment hit harder, every line feel more personal, and every silence more meaningful.
Even if you walked the earth for a thousand years, you might never meet anyone more determined to succeed than Nina. I met her in 2020, just before the pandemic, and since then, I’ve watched her work relentlessly toward her dream. She is a reminder that there are people in this world who simply will not stop, no matter the obstacles, no matter the hardship.
This play is a testament not just to the power of theatre, but to the unbreakable spirit of the woman at its center.
