What I liked

I loved the show. I loved the use of props as metaphors of an artist’s life, I loved that the main focus of this show was the raw, real talent of the actor – that told her story.
The shoes… stepping into shoes of different versions of herself, same way an actor becomes a character… the songs, the dances.
It is a love story.

What I didn't like

I loved the show. I have nothing to add as far as improvement goes.

My overall impression

From the moment you see Nina on stage, you feel the rush.
The way she takes you with her on a journey through her past, present and future, through her childhood dream to her adult choices – is tantalizing.
You feel the fever of the chase, the passion of her convictions, the desperation of the artist, trying to survive the daily routine, rejections and redirections, obstacles that seem to pile on…
The resounding “ do you still want to be an actress?” – it brings me tears even now…
If you have ever had a dream, if you are a creative being, you will feel every single emotion she so masterfully expresses and writes.

The path to the dream, the ups and downs, the grind – you see it break her down slowly, but
you root for her perseverance and success. You want her fever dream to come true, you know she is dancing a fateful dance with her sanity – you can feel, that this is her life – she is the dream.
As a woman, as an immigrant, as someone who has been chasing her own dream for her entire life – I can wholeheartedly relate to this story.

The sacrifices she has made – for her goals that seem at a hands reach…
Just a little more, just one more try, just one more pull yourself up from the pit of despair and there she goes again, strong, defiant, true to her self and her dream.
Testament to personal courage and perseverance.
