The play had such an incredible pace to it, interpolating humor, dance and musical moments with very emotionally charged beats, while never feeling like anything was out of place, which made it incredibly enjoyable as it kept the story engaging and flowing at all times. Loved that.
What I didn't like
I watched the play online and the audio was terrible, and made it hard to follow the music or appreciate the detail of the tap dancing in some places, even losing a few lines in the script in moments. It felt like such a loss. I wish I could see the performance live.
My overall impression
I’m absolutely blown away by Nina’s talent and craft. She goes through such an impressive range of emotions and such a varied skillset while taking us through her moving journey of grit and unwavering perseverance. Truly inspiring.
