As a fan and student of comedy, this show reminds me of Mike Birbiglia meets Gary Gulman. Coming from someone so young, it’s quite the accomplishment. I especially enjoyed hearing from a young person what it means to grow up molded by social media. I’m particularly fascinated with the studies around the “Anxious Generation” and how technology and social media has adversely affected young people. Hearing a young comedian share her experience with it was particularly compelling. I’m Gen X, and I never felt like I missed any references, or that Viva’s subject matter was aimed only at young people. She did a great job making this work accessible to everyone.

My overall impression
A tight, smart, original, well-crafted comedy hour ready-made for a streaming special. Viva crushes it!
