Every time things get dark or serious, she hits back with a joke that’s smarter and messier than you expect. It’s tight, self-aware, and totally original. Viva Rose won’t stay hidden for long.
What I didn't like
It could be on Netflix or Hulu so I don’t have to leave the house.
My overall impression
Hidden Gem is one of the funniest hours at Fringe. Viva Rose channels the anxiety and self-awareness of her generation with the comedic chops of a well-jaded Gen X’er—sharp, dry, and unafraid to lean into the discomfort for laughs.
The show reminded me of early Mike Birbiglia, but through a Gen Z lens—emotionally honest, sharply written, and perfectly delivered. It’s funny in all the right unexpected places.
