I loved the world-building, the easeful, smooth transitions between Meg’s many characters, and the vintage, timeless atmosphere created. This is an absurd play that is supremely joyful – and sneakily confronting. Through a theatrical cloud of surrealism, she juggles these opposite energies in a way that feels both soft and cunning. A dangerous woman under the guise of a strawberry-fielded starlet!
What I didn't like
Go see this hilarious, deeply unique show!
My overall impression
Meg in “She’s So Special” is a classic Hollywood star with an inner trickster that takes us to unexpected, subversive territory with the grace and sensitivity of a million doves.
