The stage hand coming out was such a delightful surprise and I would’ve loved to have spent even more time with him!!
What I didn't like
nothin!!
My overall impression
I loved watching Meg’s journey from her small town to the big city, and then back to the small town again, and maybe to the big city a few more times?? As a performer, Meg is so instantly likable and I was completely enchanted by all of her sincere silliness. Her ability to bounce between multiple characters paid off as she crammed a whole world full of relationships, friendships, and tricky family dynamics into a tight 30 minute show that never feels too fast or too busy. She even deftly explored some intense topics around consent and toxic relationships and she handled their thorniness perfectly. Her many years of clown work was also on display as she had masterful crowd interactions which felt timed just enough to connect with an audience member, but not enough to make them uncomfortable. You could feel the fun she was having in front of us, and it made for a more fun performance to watch!!!
