In a scene that can prize erratic behavior, Meg knows how to stay present and allow herself to be truly seen from moment to moment. Which sucker punches you all the more when she throws curveballs at you like “little timmy” (the best bit in LA clown hands down, I would watch little timmy for a full hour. I pretty much badger her about it every chance I can get it, and I’m sorry I have to say it in this review too, but it has to be said.)
What I didn't like
While my absolute favorite bit from this show and possibly the entire clown community was expanded it out for this fringe run, it was most certainly not 15 minutes like promised from a personal conversation.
My overall impression
A breath of fresh air for anyone who enjoys a clown that knows how to take their time. I never get the sense that I won’t be taken care of in a Meg Cheng performance, and that feeling was ever present in this show. Loved the extra oompf for this fringe run too.
