Strong storytelling combined with vulnerability and engaging with the audience as the story unfolds. I appreciated the acknowledgment of protests happening in LA as the performance I attended, was on No Kings Day/Flag Day. Frank Traynor is a gifted storyteller that can balance the personal with the political mindfully.
What I didn't like
It seemed there were some slight feedback issues with the microphone. He doesn’t need a microphone but it does help set the world of his story in the form he wants to tell it in.
My overall impression
Frank Traynor delivers a stellar performance with biting humor and heart. A Real Man is a must see solo show.
