Frank is an engaging, likable storyteller. I enjoyed experiencing the personal story of one man’s coming to terms with the effects of toxic masculinity as a learned behavior within a family and a culture. I use the term “toxic masculinity” – Frank never does. I feel like there’s this stereotype that machismo is a latino thing. While Frank is Argentinian and he shares his personal journey from his family and culture, it really is an issue among men from all cultures. Frank’s portrayal breaks stereotypes and works across cultural barriers.
What I didn't like
I think this show could be improved with some editing. I was much more emotionally invested the second half of the show than the first. My advice would be to find places to economize words.
My overall impression
Funny, touching, thought-provoking show about overcoming culturally ingrained machismo.
