Frank is a consummate storyteller! He takes us on a journey as he tries to fit in with his family and become A REAL MAN. I loved the premise and how Frank made his whole family come alive for us. I've known Frank but didn't really know him until watching his heartfelt and beautiful one man show!...

I so enjoyed Frank Traynor's solo show A Real Man! I've seen Frank share his stories at shows like The Moth, It's Funny Now, and RISK! and it was wonderful to see a full hour of his work, following his journey to become "a real man." This comedic storytelling show will make you laugh and also has powerful and emotional moments. I highly recommend this show!...

Just got back from seeing A Real Man by Frank Traynor and I’m honestly still thinking about it. It’s funny, raw, and weirdly relatable in the best way. Frank manages to talk about family, identity, and masculinity without ever making it feel heavy — you're laughing one second and suddenly hit with something that really sticks.
It takes a lot to hold a room solo for that long, and he absolutely nails it. Go see it if you get the chance. It’s one of those shows that stays with you....

A Real Man is a really heartfelt and funny solo show from Frank Traynor. I’ve seen Frank tell stories all over LA—at The Moth, at his show It’s Funny Now—and it was so cool to see how some of those stories came together in this larger arc. There’s something really powerful about how he wove it all into one narrative that touches on masculinity, grief, family, and figuring out who you are.
What makes Frank stand out in storytelling is his ability to take moments that could be really sad or heavy and find the humor in them. And not in a way that dismisses the pain—but in a way that invites the audience to laugh with him. You can feel the tension in the room sometimes, and then the release that comes with that laughter. It’s a beautiful thin...

I had seen Frank do parts of this story around town and loved seeing all the stories woven into one cohesive thread. It was not only funny, but heartfelt — I was laughing one minute, crying the next. I also love how it explored themes and family (and life) dynamics that we can all relate to somehow. And I liked learning about Frank’s Argentinian roots & his coming-to-America adventures compared to his Argentinian ones. Overall, amazing job, Frank!! Hope you do the show more outside of Fringe, too!! ...
