This show has some of the best acting I have seen. Such professionals, truly engaged with the story and with each other… From the moment you walk into the theatre the ensemble greats you with a haunting chant with the title… this sets the tone IMMEDIATELY. They all were so engaged through transitions and blackouts…
What I didn't like
perhaps I missed it, and it is 100% on me if I did… but I believe a trigger warning should be issued on this one as I can imagine the material being upsetting for an unknowing audience member.
My overall impression
What a ride. The whole time I am thinking there is just no way…. welp, THERE IS A WAY. What a wildly dark show that really stays on your brain even long after it is over. The looming part two has me intrigued and I can’t lie, I’d be there opening night for part two.
