What I liked
The direction (and cutting of the script) were effective and swift— simple, clear choices made the unfamiliar story easy to follow, featuring moments of exciting sword play, gorgeous language, and surprising twists and turns. The actors dug into the French/English rivalry splendidly, and they had a great grasp on the text (my favorite bit of verse was a beautiful image about wind in a sail from Kyle T. Hester’s excellent King Edward).
I highly recommend any Shakespeare lovers catch this production!
What I didn't like
I just wish they’d had a bigger cockpit to hold the vastly fields of France— but they did a great job with the resources that they had!
My overall impression
A strong ensemble of actors delivering a rarely-produced work— what a treat to see this play performed live!
