What I liked
By focusing on the actors, with a minimal set and costumes, the show is able to highlight the text and performances. Notably, the actor playing the Countness was a gift to watch.
What I didn't like
At times, some actors felt like their monologues were too dramatic, like they were vying for an Oscar.
My overall impression
One of my favorite renditions of a Shakespeare play ever. Though the set is minimal, the performers fill every inch of the space with the energy they bring to this piece. Before watching this piece, I didn’t know the plot of Edward III and I loved getting to experience it this way.
