Make it longer! Would love to see this story fleshed out with EVENMORE horror icons! ❤️
My overall impression
Can you be something other than what you were made for? That’s the question I began mulling over during my viewing of Toy Gory. It’s a classic dilemma that offers fertile ground for story telling. Depending on who ya talk to and where they are with their perspective in life, some would say, “no, you can’t change”.
What I found so endearing about Toy Gory is that the characters, brought to life by Leighann Cannon, Rafael Hernandez Roulet, Laila McKinnon and Jesse O’Freel, openly defy that sentiment. The two leads are determined to find a home and a family that will accept them.
Combine this heartfelt journey with a horror vibes aesthetic, some fun choreography and direction by Alexandra Tamplin and you’ve got an absurdly wonderful time.
