What I liked
The minimalist approach was well executed, with a small cast, limited props and set pieces. This felt like an extended SNL skit, with the advantage of being able to spend a little more time to tell a story and meet the characters… but also never longer than it needed to be.
What I didn't like
The show is unnecessarily adults only and should lean more into it being kid-like; remove some obscenities, and I can see even children having fun here, in spite of the murderous nature of the characters… as long as the parents know what they’re in for.
My overall impression
Silly, fun, and scrappy. It’s Toy Story, but with horror-related dolls, on a Wizard the Oz-esque journey to find Halloweentown.
