Erabus and the Fall of Sparrows is such a powerful show that speaks to what our youth are going through today. With important themes of suicide, depression, and school shootings, this play tackles heavy topics with seriousness and with a genuine-hearted touch that leaves the audience laughing at some moments, then in tears the next. The talented young cast is a force to behold.... full review

Surprising, powerful, funny, and really moving. This play will really stay with me. Authentic: about 20 high school kids telling it like it is. Very entertaining and thought provoking. A GREAT 80 minutes of memorable theater! The best thing at the Fringe so far. Unique and theatrical.... full review

A must-see, one of a kind production that will leave you digesting this remarkable piece of theater days later. Crazy to me that these are teenagers putting this show on! You will laugh. You will cry. You will feel seen and heard in a way that no other play has ever made you feel before. As a parent, the growing division over topics like school shootings and suicide is something I grapple with a lot. I saw myself through the parental figures in this play and my mind was also opened up to the perspectives of my daughters when considering how relevant issues impact them. I will be seeing it again. Do not miss Erabus!... full review

WOW. Thoroughly impressed by this production. It was no surprise to learn that the play was written by high school students, as their frustrations -- be it with identity, family dynamics, sexuality, anxiety, or simply having to move forward in an increasingly complex and challenging world -- were not only communicated soulfully and genuinely, but in an incredibly effective narrative structure that included jumps in time, fourth-wall breaking, and meta-commentary on the "high school stage production" itself. All this, and passionately performed. Just so impressive all around. Fantastic job to all involved.... full review

Excellent handling of the subject matter. Kids performed well. The Greek theatre style works to present the heavy themes in an almost detached way. The minimalist stage and costumes feel more like high schoolers dealing with life rather than a play. ... full review

As the author I can not really answer this, I will have to quote people's opinions who don't lie to me. From a younger viewer - "I felt heard". From a fellow director who understands the issues. "Thank You." From an older theatre patron who is new to theatre. " I wish my wife had seen this so I had someone to talk about it with. I had no idea theatre could be so powerful."... full review
