What I liked

I really enjoyed the multilayered complexity of the girl’s relationship and family history. Their clever use of the stage, video, and lighting creates a simple, but oddly creepy environment.

What I didn't like

Give us more! I would have eaten up every word even if this were 30% longer!

My overall impression

This trunk is a taut puzzle box that takes one surprise turn after another. Just when you’ve figured out the next family secret, the rug is pulled to reveal an even more unexpected revelation. Two very strong performances by the actors on stage, and a bonus star-turn by their on-screen “father.”
