What I liked
I can’t get too much into specifics because most of what really did it for me in this show is in firm spoiler territory, but suffice to say the story takes a turn I was not expecting, yet makes complete sense in retrospect. A dead parent’s mystery trunk is already a situation rife with intrigue, but the contents lead to conclusions far more bizarre than I ever could have anticipated at the outset. Beeby is also a hell of a performer and serves very well as the piece’s grounded anchor.
What I didn't like
really surprised the characters have so much bad blood, they’re both so kind to each other throughout the entire show 🤥
My overall impression
When this show finally dropped the mask and revealed its hand as to what was really going on, you have to know how delighted I was. It’s clear from the start that something sinister lingers just beneath the surface, but the show’s simple setup conceals just how messed up things are about to get. If dark and twisted is your thing, you are in for a good time.
