What I liked
Great performances from both actors. I got sucked into the story. I loved the intentionality of every prop and lighting element.
What I didn't like
I wish this show was longer. There was so much history that needed to be established in a very short period of time. They did well with the time they had but I wish we had more time to get to know the characters and their relationship outside of setting up all the back story and information we needed. This could be an incredibly powerful piece with maybe 20 more minutes of stage time. I hope they make it a full length show in the future. I’d definitely watch it again.
My overall impression
The world needs more spooky theatre! I’m so happy this exists and adds to that genre. A great story with an unexpected ending that totally paid off. It was subtly set up and well done. I thought it was going to be an emotional piece about processing grief and then they flip the script in the best way possible.
