The performance, the well-crafted piece, the intimate home videos and still and inspired storytelling!
What I didn't like
It was great!
My overall impression
Peacock in the Rubble is an excellently-crafted, raw, emotionally-charged piece; especially moving with its relevance to the recent fires and Marissa’s firsthand experience of loss in Altadena and how it relates to her story of growth and identity. Marissa takes us on a tear-jerking journey through her OCD and the complicated realities of living with it as a child and adult. Her charm, hope and vulnerability give the narration of such a personal story even more intrigue. She’s magnetic as a performer, teacher and guide. Highly recommend! You’ll learn something, feel something, and witness how to find hope in rubble.
