I think because it is a single person onstage the whole time, it was really helpful to have dialogue, ukulele, footage, etc. to keep the audience engaged! She’s also super silly and takes meaningful moments of silence that really feel like she’s in a private discussion with you.
What I didn't like
At some point, I would love for the physical space she’s in to be more fleshed out; maybe set up in the mental garden she goes to in times of distress. I want to see her in her comforting place.
My overall impression
A genuine and heartfelt love letter to self, told through multiple mediums of media. She’s able to reach every person in the audience even with such a specific set of traumas and have them relate. Beautiful piece of work.
